Forget the boring family photo get a fun family caricature by Spratti

Find it hard to get all the family together for the standard stiff family photo? Even if each member is on a different continent I can bring them together in a fun and truly memorable way. All I need are a few photos and a bit of information and then I can get them all together and all smiling at the same time.

"The most meaningful gift to give and receive"

Here is a recent testimonial a customer sent to me that shows a Spratti caricature is not your average gift.

"Dad absolutely loved it, when he opened it he did a double take and then was gob smacked, he gave me the biggest hug and had tears in his eyes, he just couldn't believe it, truly the best present I have ever given him and I think the most meaningful present he has ever received. The picture now hangs proudly in the kitchen by the front door, so everyone who enters the house can see it on display, but he always shows them again anyway because he is so proud, he particularly loved the pipe organ and couldn't believe the detail you put into it, and all from a couple of photos!

Thank you so so much, we all love it!!

Cheers
Kathryn G"

Till next time.

Another Magic Caricature by Spratti

I was contacted recently by an 80 year old magician named Michael. He is a great old character that still gets out there to work his magic and sing the odd song or two. Michael commissioned me to produce a caricature of him for use on his different promotional material. He absolutely loved the finished result and wrote to tell me - "Dear Phil, I receivied your caricature and it was the most "fun" thing of the entire year. I have used it on my Xmas cards and brochures and every one that gets a card smiles. Thank you from Michael H the 80 summers old only chap".

Thanks Michael, keep flogging that rubber chicken.
Cheers - Spratti

Looking for an original Retirement or Farewell Gift?

Check out a recently completed caricature I did for a large Australian company. They had finalised a large project and wanted a unique way to thank the projects manager before he moved onto his next challenge. I included both the project details as well as some of his personal details which I have listed. I include all this sort of detail at no extra cost. It makes each caricature a real celebration of the individual's life and achievements.
Contact me today if you would like something similar for your boss or a retiring employee.
Till next time.

I have been kept busy of late producing a number of 21st birthday gift caricatures. They are popular and make a unique and memorable gift for such a landmark occasion, it's something that they will enjoy for years.

Below is a copy of a recent one I did. I have listed some of her interests to give you an idea of the amount of additional personal detail I include at no extra charge. I find the extra detail gives everybody a laugh and is a real celebration of the individuals life.

Spratti caricatures will be opened all over the world this Christmas!

As you have probably guessed by now that if you want a caricature for this Christmas sadly it is too late. I have been taking orders for Christmas for the last two months, so it pays to get in early.

Maybe there is a special birthday or retirement coming up where a Spratti caricature would be the perfect gift?

Then again there is always next Christmas, just remember to book in early.

Have a great Christmas and see you in the New Year.

Kind regards

Here is whay my customers say!

Hi Phil,

!!!...AWESOME...!!! That was the first word to come out of mine and my brothers mouth when we first saw the caricature you did for him for his 21st birthday.
I was sooo totally amazed with it, I couldn't take my eyes of it. The way you captured all the fine details in his face made it look so real.. Everything to do with his life past and present were featured in it, all the different colours and details were just great.
I had imagined what it would look like and when I finally saw it, it took my breath away, my eyes felt like they were going to pop out. I couldn't stop raving on to everyone about it, and when he finally unwrapped it they were as gob smacked as I was when I first saw it.

I would have to say it was the best present I could ever give someone. The way you made it so personal and unique made it that much more special.
Kindest and warmest regards,
Ngahine R

People wanting to give a Spratti caricature as a Christmas gift have
already started placing their orders which is just as well as this can
be a busy time. As each caricature I create is an individual piece of
artwork and not an off the shelf product it is wise to order early.

Nashville Caricature - a piece of cake!

Here is a recent testimony that turned out to be a piece of cake!

"I just wanted to thank you for the WONDERFUL caricature you did for my husband's 50th surprise birthday party here in Nashville, TN.
I framed the 11x17 piece of artwork you sent, and then used the same artwork on the invitations AND the cake! When the time came at the party for him to open his main gift (the caricature), everyone laughed because they had seen the image so many times and his whole birthday had literally been "branded" with your artwork.

John (my husband) is thrilled with his gift, and I am so happy to have been able to give him something so unique and personal".

Thanks again,
Pam Saxon

Caricatures For Gifts

21st gift ideas seem to have caught on with lots of enquiries lately for this special birthday.

An aspect of caricatures some people have sometimes expressed - especially before they select a caricature for a gift - is that the caricature might be 'mean'.

That is, caricatures might focus on a very unflattering aspect of the subject being painted.

We want our caricatures to be a very positive and uplifting experience, so avoid over-exaggerating an aspect that the subject might be uncomfortable about.

My caricatures are world travelers

I just did my first caricature for a customer from Riga in Latvia. It was a gift for her boyfriend's 21st birthday. She ordered, paid for and sent photos all online and it was as simple as if she had lived in the next suburb. I have also done personalized gift caricatures for customers right across the United States from California to New York State plus throughout the United Kingdom and Australia and New Zealand.

One day soon I hope to be as well travelled as my caricatures are!

I am yet to do one from Alaska, anyone up that way that would like to order a caricature just contact me.

cheers

Bigfoot makes an impression

if you walk along the beaches here on the Gold Coast you may occasionally come across some very strange footprints. On closer inspection you'll find it's actually wording......
w w w s p r a t t i a r t . c o m
...that's right my web address. I came up with the idea of placing cut out rubber lettering on the bottom of a pair of my thongs. Now when I go for a wander along the beach I grab myself a little free publicity and make an impression.

The thing I like most about it is that it all disappears with the high tide. If only all advertising was so easily removed.

PS: I had to make sure all the letters were reversed when I stuck them down. I didn't want to have something that might offend non English speakers.

Producing a caricature-steps I go through

Many of you where interested in the steps I went through to produce one of my caricatures. I have put together a link showing the steps I go through.

Every caricature I produce is carefully planned to include a lot personal detail, at no extra charge (most charge for additional details). Because of this planning the details often link together in a funny visual pun making the finished caricature a uniquely personal gift.

Anyway have a look at the steps involved, you will see there is quite a bit of work in each caricature I produce - click here.
