The Best Feedback - Photo & Caricature
Posted on: Saturday 21st April, 2007
I've received some fantastic feedback lately about how to make this web site as easy as possible for someone looking for personalized gift ideas.
The biggest fear for people buying such a personalize gift is that the caricature won't be very good!
Caricature Portfolio - Photos & Caricatures
To show you the quality of the caricature portraits I do, I've put together a selection here.
Simply click on the smaller image you see (there are 2 rows of small images) and you'lll be taken to a page showing the photo I worked from and the finished caricature.
Hope that helps.

21st Birthday Gift With The Funniest Story Ever!
Posted on: Thursday 12th April, 2007
I recently produced a caricature for a customer on the central coast of Queensland. It is to be a gift for his nephew who is turning 21.
When I produce caricatures, I normally ask customers if they have a funny anecdote that could be included in the final artwork.
John (not his real name) mentioned that his nephew is studying Geology at university and works at a mine in outback Queensland handling explosives.
On one occasion he was by himself at Brisbane Airport ready to catch a flight back to the mine when an announcement was broadcast throughout the Airport terminal:
“Can all unaccompanied minors please report to reception?”
You guessed it, he went to the counter.
When asked why he was there he said he was an unaccompanied miner - much to the delight of the airport staff.
My comment to his uncle was, “and this guy handles explosives?
Of course I had to include it in the final gift caricature. I will post a copy of it on my blog in a couple of weeks as he is still to receive it.
Till next week.
