A family of Christmas caricatures
"The caricatures were fabulous and really well received by everyone (yes, even those who they were of!). There was plenty of guffaws all round as all the little inclusions were uncovered and recognised as being spot on. My personal favourite was the one of my dad and book on the table titled 'jokes dads tell and why they're not funny' was particularly appreciated by my brothers. Even my non-attention seeking boyfriend, who I'd wondered what he would think about having a picture of himself, loves it and has it hanging on our wall at home which provides a great talking point for our friends.
I saved those gifts till near the end of our gift-giving session and gave them all out at once. You had done one of my father, my boyfriend, my youngest brother and a double of my other brother with his girlfriend but because my brother's fiance was with her family until that evening I only gave out the three singles and told my brother he had to wait until his fiance was present. All day he was begging to open his and as soon as he could he was shoving the present in her hand getting her to open my gift first - of course more guffawing. I had been a little worried about his because the image of him was the one I thought had the least resemblance (I'd had to track down emailled pics for you because they'd been overseas for so long) but both he and his fiance were delighted and having seen his travel photos it really was an accurate image of what he looked like so a huge thank you.
One relative described it as the pick of the gifts this year and it really did generate a good mood on the day with plenty of stirring between each of my chosen victims about each other's accentuated figures or images.
I'd been nervous getting so many done at once, and spending that money, when I hadn't seen any of your other works at all except on your website but it was well worth it. I'm still relishing in the glory of having provided such good entertainment this Christmas.
